Do I need to book, or can I walk in?
Walk-ins are welcome. For weekends, holidays, or a group, we recommend booking ahead — use the form above, WeChat (duyichu1738), or call +86 10 6301 2841.
I've never had shaomai — what should I order?
Shaomai are open-topped steamed dumplings, pleated by hand into 24 folds. First-timers love the classic pork; fresh-shrimp and three-delicacies are house favourites. Order a few kinds and share.
Do you have vegetarian or allergen-friendly options?
Yes — one of the six fillings is vegetable, and every filling is labelled by allergen (all contain wheat). Please tell us about any allergy when you book.
Can you seat a group or host a private event?
Yes — a private room is available (choose it in the reservation form). For a larger party or a special occasion, note the size and date in your request and we'll confirm the arrangements.
Can I take shaomai home, or have it shipped?
Yes — frozen shaomai and gift boxes are in our shop, packed to travel; steam from frozen in about 8 minutes. Beijing cold-chain delivery is available; for shipping further afield, please ask the house.
I don't speak Chinese — will that be a problem?
Not at all. Our front desk can help you in English, this site is in eight languages, and the menu is allergen-labelled. Show this page or your booking when you arrive.
